A lifetime of vegetation and animals who called this their home - all gone within hours.

Prized wisteria, butterfly and numerous other bushes, and ornamental trees that I'd planted myself and had grown to maturity; heritage black bamboo that we'd transplanted from my grandparents' estate in California; an enormous native rhododendron that graced our driveway; two pets; unknown (except for one discovered rabbit) wildlife; countless native trees that provided us with beauty, shelter, sound barrier, and privacy that we'll never experience here again.
